This is the Men's Reconnaissance Jacket. With its hybrid construction, it is our most purpose-built snowshell designed specifically for big days in the backcountry. The body is made with stretch polyester soft-shell fabric that gives you great breathability. And the shoulders, arms and hood use fully waterproof breathable three-layer fabric that also has great stretch. A DWR finish sheds snow and keeps the fabric dry in wet conditions. We also tape the seams to keep moisture from getting inside. The sleeves are articulated so your arms can move freely. The jacket's low-profile cuffs secure easily over or under gloves. For everything you need close at hand, the Reconnaissance Jacket has one secure sleeve pocket, two zippered hand pockets as well as two large chest pockets. One with a smaller stash pocket for music with routing for earbuds. And on the interior, there's a drop-in pocket for goggles or gloves. An elasticized strap at the back connects to any Patagonia snow pants and select Alpine pants. Both the hem and the helmet-compatible hood cinch tight with the minimalist cohesive cordlock system.
